American Cargo Assurance, LLC (ACA) was founded in 2009 by Henry Osorno, a 40 year veteran of the Marine Inspection industry. Since its inception, ACA has been dedicated to offering the very highest quality of Inspection Services to our clients in the Oil, Gas, Chemical and Marine industries. Our founding principle was, and still remains. “The World Doesn’t Need Another Inspection Company, It Needs One that Does It Right”.

Since 2009, this commitment to excellence and client satisfaction has resulted in unparalleled growth and acceptance into the highly competitive market place of petroleum inspection services. ACA operates under the DBA of ACA and can offer a full range of inspection, analytical, domestic and international loss control, demurrage analysis services, and quantity/ quality consultancy services to our valued clients.

President of ACA
Henry Osorno serves as President of ACA. A career Marine Services Manager, Henry has served in a number of high profile positions during his career, giving him a unique service perspective of the various facets of the collective industries that ACA serves. He is committed to providing a unique and service driven company offering the highest level of quality, safety, professionalism and client satisfaction. His experience has resulted in a unique view of the Inspector / Client relationship that instills an attitude of ownership and professionalism in our personnel that is unmatched in the Inspection Industry. Beginning his career in 1972 as an Inspector in New Orleans, he has held the following positions during his years in the industry:

Douglas V. Beaton

Director of Operations
Douglas V. Beaton oversees the day to day operations of ACA as the Director of Operations. With 39 years of hands on management, Doug has been involved in all facets of the Inspection and Loss Control areas. Having functioned in Refining Loss Control processes, as well as having extensive Inspection Management experience, his diversified background is well suited for optimizing the critical supervisory functions that our personnel must follow to protect the assets of our clients.
Gauging his first tank in 1977, Doug has held the following positions:

Steve Cross

Area Manager, Louisiana
With over 17 years in the inspection industry, Steve Cross is the Operations Manager for ACA throughout Louisiana and the Beaumont / Pt. Arthur, TX area. With a broad range of expertise in both liquid and gas measurement, Steve represents ACA client interests throughout his area and has has an unparalleled reputation for integrity and client satisfaction. With his entire career being spent with only two companies, Steve is the epitome of stability and dedication. As the interests of ACA have grown in his area, Steve has maintained the service first philosophy and continuously represents the best ideals of ACA. Since 1995, Steve has held the following positions in and around Lake Charles and Sulphur, LA:
